Brundall parkrun regularly entertains around 60 runners, walkers, people with dogs, prams and fancy dress outfits every Sat at 9am. parkrun is a national charity aiming to engage with local communities and encourage those residents to exercise for their own mental and physical health, with over 360 events each week in the UK and many more around the globe. They also work with to raise awareness and funds for other charities and are currently working with Alzheimer’s UK.
Participants register once for free and download a barcode that is scanned at the end of each run so that they receive their time by email and/or text afterwards. We are a run not a race and participants compete against themselves whilst having fun with friends and family. The events run completely on volunteer power and without a core team of helpers in Brundall we wouldn’t be able to hold the event every week, so these are the most valuable asset we have. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers, even if they help twice a year, so any help is always welcome.
