The Visit Brundall web site is operated by Ingenuity in Business, which is a business group operating in Brundall.
On the evening of 4 November 2014 a small group of members met for a business meeting and social event. The evening was hosted by Steve Hearnden from Tastebuds Wines Ltd. Steve entertained and educated us in the art of French Wines as he introduced us to wine tasting and two delightful wines from his collection.
Set is his tasting room we are shown how to examine the wine, delight in the bouquet and enjoy the taste. Those of us new to the concept found it difficult to detect some of the flavours but as we were shown the ropes by Steve things became a little clearer.
The two wines we sampled were:
RED – VINCENT
This wine is a blended wine from: SYRAH, GRENACHE, CABERNET FRANC & CABERNET SAUVIGNON. It is usually made up from 25% from each grape. It is a soft fruity wine with a little spice for added taste! Would accompany most meats but also very easily drunk on it’s own.
WHITE WINE – L’ENFANT TERRIBLE
A superb dry white wine with balanced acidity produced from the PICPOUL DE PINET grape. The vines grown just a few miles form the coast produce this excellent wine which is ideal with shell fish from the near by Mediterranean Sea. The wine is light with balanced acidity – perfect as an aperitif, too.
If you would be interested in trying these wines they can either be bought directly from Steve. Please call at Strumpshaw Post Office. Alternatively and very conveniently these wines can also be bought from Budgens. Take a look! You will be surprised at how reasonable these wines are for the superb quality. We were.
Sandie Hammond, a member who operates Southlea Interiors, provided a delightful selection of nibbles. Perfection alongside the wines.
If you are a business located in Brundall your are eligible to join Ingenuity in Business. To find out more please speak with Andrew at Brundall Home Hardware.
